Addition for voice control via “Hey Mercedes”
MBUX Voice Assistant is known for its intuitive operation and a large command portfolio, giving customers sports and weather updates, answers to question about surroundings, and control smart functions.
ChatGPT will complement the existing intuitive voice control via “Hey Mercedes”. ChatGPT leverages a large language model to improve natural language understanding and expand the topics to which it can respond.
Customers will be able to experience a voice assistant that can accept natural voice commands AND conduct conversations! Soon customers will be receive a more comprehensive answer for a question answered while keeping their hands on the wheel!

Mercedes-Benz has collaborated with Microsoft to enable the integration of ChatGPT. Mercedes-Benz will retain complete control over the IT processes in the background through Azure OpenAI Service combined with the enterprise-grade security, privacy and reliability of Azure.
ChatGPT in line with Mercedes-Benz AI principles
GPT is the abbreviation for “Generative Pre-trained Transformer”. A GPT is a family of large language models that have been trained to create or summarize texts, answer questions, translate languages and generate programing code and is built on a sophisticated neural network developed by OpenAI. Mercedes-Benz is integrating ChatGPT with their AI principles in order to make the benefits accessible to customers. Mercedes-Benz will continue to monitor potential risks and make improvements to benefit customers.
